Welcome To DeafMortgage.com - FAQs

Q: How do I begin, -- to either purchase a home or refinance the one I have?
A: Begin by completing the one page form (see “Forms”). Only your name(s), address with zip, and social security numbers need to be accurate. All other information can be estimated.  Only one signature is necessary.  Fax the one page form to us at the number provided which is (301)222-0862 This will authorize us to obtain a credit report.

Q: What do I need to do next, in the process, as you obtain the credit report?
A:

Complete the ONLINE MORTGAGE APPLICATION, (see “Apply Online”) by answering the questions provided. Your answers will be automatically transcribed into the standard mortgage application form called the Uniform Residential Loan Application. We will then send the typed form to you for signature(s), based on the information that you provide, along with other standard disclosure forms. We will provide pre-paid means for you to return that information to us.

Begin assembling and copying short list of documents often needed by the mortgage lenders.  See the list we have provided located under Preparation on  the “Forms” page.  Include that information with your return mail, or email it as an attachment, or fax that material to us.

Q:

What about the appraisal?

A: Upon receipt of the application package that you will return to us, we will arrange for an appraisal of the property.  The appraisal fee is determined by the appraiser, which is payable to the appraiser at the time he makes the appraisal of your home. If you wish to pay by credit card, simply let us know and we will provide you with the necessary form authorizing the use of your credit card for this purpose.

Q: What happens next?
A: Your mortgage loan package will be processed. We will screen many available lenders, on your behalf, and select a lender (s) who will best serve your needs. Upon approval, a settlement date will be established, in conjunction with your schedule, and a settlement attorney will be chosen; or you may wish to select the settlement attorney. We will provide an interpreter, free of charge, so that you will completely understand every single detail. You may prefer a specific interpreter. Simply let us know, so that we may make payment. After settlement, you will receive your check. THAT’S IT!

Q:

How can we contact you, at any time, for any questions, that we may have?

A:

Simple email us at  donald.sievers@deafmortgage.com  ; or call via the relay at 301-469-0031;  or fax at 301-222-0862
